Neo Hydrate Scam – Duck Dynasty

So, when you think “beauty” is Duck Dynasty one of the first things to come to your mind? Yeah, me neither. Just the same, this scammer somehow connected the two and is featuring DD’s “Willie” to promote their NeoHydrate Ageless Moisturizer scam.

DO NOT purchase this product based on these FAKE celebrity endorsements!

To be honest with you, I’ve never watched Duck Dynasty but, as I investigated this scam, I checked them out and I must admit that these guys have really beautiful wives. That said, NONE of them are using this lousy product!

You’d never know that by the site though. It’s loaded with FABRIQUOTES from ALL of the women. Check these out:

BEFORE & AFTER LIES

If your BS METER isn’t going off yet, it will be.

The site also features seven “Before & After” pictures that are posted under a header of “Reader Results” in the right hand column.

This image and TESTIPHONIAL from “Carol Keeton of Denver, CO” is among the seven.

As you can see, there is a pretty remarkable difference between the before and after photos.

Unfortunately for the scammers, I was able to find the original pictures and they have absolutely nothing to do with Neo Hydrate. These images, and most of the others, were stolen from a BRAZILIAN PLASTIC SURGERY website. I’ve included the image from the clinic’s site here, but you can click here to see the actual images on their site.

In my book, anybody who has to steal before and after photos, fabricate quotes from celebrities, and create phony testimonials to sell their product is probably not someone I want to do business with.

Not to mention putting their product on my skin!

If you need further convincing, check out their “FREE TRIAL!”

FREE TRIAL WITH A HITCH

All over the site are links to send for your “FREE SAMPLE” of the product. If you click on any of those links, you’ll arrive at a page with more “testimonials” and pictures of “satisfied customers,” and a form where you are asked to enter your contact information.

Then they ask your for your credit card information, supposedly to cover the $5.95 shipping charge for your sample bottle.

The rub is this – NOW THEY HAVE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER AND THEY HAVE NOT REVEALED THAT THEY PLAN TO USE IT AGAIN – SOON AND FOR BIG BUCKS!

Hidden in very small type at the very bottom of the page is the scam.

Here are the TERMS YOU ARE AGREEING TO:

Beginning on the day that You place an order for a product (” Product “) from the Website, Your fourteen (14) day Trial period begins (” Trial Period “). The Trial Period is calculated in calendar days, not business days and your fourteen (14) day Trial ends on day fourteen (14).

C. You will be given thirty (30) days supply (or subscription access) of the Product You ordered. Generally, Your Product is delivered within 2 to 5 days after placing Your order. Delivery time is subtracted from Your Trial Period, and will reduce the number of days allocated to Your Trial Period. If You want to extend Your Trial Period due to slow or delayed delivery, You must call Our Customer Service Department toll-free at 1-800-640-3456. Reasonable requests (as determined by GlobalTek Distribution Services, Inc.) to extend Your Trial Period generally will be granted.

D. If You are satisfied with the Product and wish to continue to receive the Product on a monthly basis, You need do nothing else. Upon the expiration of the Trial Period, on Day 14, Your credit card will be billed for the full cost of the Product that You ordered (i.e., a thirty day supply) at the rate of $ $89.95.

E. On the 45th day following the date You first ordered Your Product, GlobalTek Distribution Services, Inc. will renew your monthly subscription for another thirty (30) days supply of the Product, and the credit card You provided to us will be automatically billed for the Product $89.95.

F. Unless You cancel this service, every thirty (30) days thereafter GlobalTek Distribution Services, Inc. will renew your subscription for an additional thirty (30) days supply of the Product You ordered, and the credit card You provided to us will be automatically billed for the Product $89.95.

SO, to recap that for you – 14 days from the day you click the “Rush My Order” button, your credit card (the one you expected to be using only for the $5.95 shipping fee) will be charged $89.95.

THEN, 31 days later, you’ll be charged another $89.95.

EVERY 30 DAYS after that, you’ll be charged ANOTHER $89.95.

This will go on until YOU call them to cancel the subscription you never knew you had. By the way, if you think that it will be as simple as a single phone call to cancel, think again. These types of scams always make cancellation difficult – either by being unavailable when you call, or by asking you to jump through hoops.

PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM! ALWAYS LOOK FOR AND READ THE SMALL PRINT!
